Maure village an area inhabited by Tamangs Lies in the mid-hill of Nepal beside the Sunkoshi River 16 miles from the Kavre district headquarter-Dhulikhel Mostly an agricultural community, the friendly and hospitable– indigenous Buddhists community whose religion is a fusion of Buddhist Lamaism and the Shamanist Bon culture boast of spectacular ridges .
With a population of 1326 and 200 household the regular water supply was interrupted and the source dried out after the devastating earthquake.
We were able to identify the new water source in the village foothold and estimate the primary distribution channels for the population in March of 2017. The Village has established a user group and allocated lands for the project. Preliminary survey was carried out for installation and distribution channels identified. The project is expected to completion in 6 months beginning the project.
