“We are adventurers – on our way across the world we often depended on the help of foreign peoples to reach our goal. We want to give something back.”Stephan Keck

The association STEP 0.1 was founded in 2009 by Anita and Stephan Keck. The idea to help was conceived much earlier. Stephan Keck was most of the time of his life on the way high up on the roofs of this world. Expeditions to the eight-thousanders of this world got him inevitable also to Nepal. Cho Oyu, Manaslu, and Ama Dablam distributed along under numerous others in the list of the already scaled summits.

“It’s a matter of corresponding immediate and sustainable help to people in need. We started pretty small – in the meantime we are in the happy position that we build up a network and so we are able to put the idea to help into practice in a bigger radius. We are acting un-bureaucratically, free of ethical, religious or political attitudes”Anita Keck

Stephan and the STEPZERO.ONE Team share the passion to the mountains and adventures. “The experience mountain, nature, human got as the most impressive meetings and experiences. We don’t want to rescue the world, but we want to give something back.

”The name STEPZERO.ONE stands for our conviction that every little step can change something. For sure the majority of our projects are processed via financial resources, which is only possible because of our numerous donors and partner organizations. There are a lot of possibilities to help; money hasn’t always played a part. If you have nothing, nevertheless you can give something although it’s just human warmth. During our journeys in the entire world we meet up with that all the time. In the last few years we got to know such a lot of people who helped us to reach our goals. No matter if it happened in the well-known Austria or in the furthest Nepal – we always met people who were ready to support our dream to come to our goal. We’re really thankful for this and that’s it what we want to transmit.

Ich finde jede Initiative, die spontan hilft großartig. Bei solchen Katastrophen ist es immer wichtig

Eine kleine Gabe kann wertvoll sein, wenn sie zur rechten Zeit gegeben wird. A small gift at the right time can be really important.
